In a similar way to massage, your reflexology therapy will involve the application of a medium to assist in making the various moves across the skin and applying the techniques used during your treatment.
At Lightfoot Reflexology, we use Songbird - a favourite amongst holistic therapists for the control that it gives.
There are three main variants we use:
This is a refreshing medium with Spearmint, Peppermint and Tea Tree essential oils - peppermint and spearmint both have cooling, cleansing and stimulating properties, whilst Tea Tree is renowned for its anti-bacterial and anti-fungal qualities. Ingredients are olive oil, beeswax, essential oil of tea tree, essential oil of spearmint, essential oil of peppermint and natural Vitamin E.
Light on the essential oils, this wax contains lime and mandarin. Light and gentle, refreshing and uplifting with a subtle zing. Ingredients in this formula are olive oil, beeswax, essential oil of mandarin, essential oil of lime and natural Vitamin E.
As you’d expect, there are no essential oils contained in this medium. The ingredients are simple - olive oil, beeswax and natural Vitamin E.
For clients who would prefer a medium which does not contain beeswax, we have a range of vegan blends available.
Our waxes are applied with a single-use wooden spatula to maintain hygiene and prevent cross-contamination.
To sanitise the feet before treatment, we use Kaeso Pedicure Mandarin Spritz hygiene spray. This helps avoid infection and sanitise the treatment area and the added mandarin helps to uplift and energise.
